Product update

New service in L’Authorize — Digital Compliance Labels

Businesses can now generate QR-code compliance labels directly within L’Autorize. Each label links to a digital layer of product information that can be updated without reprinting physical packaging. The service covers PPWR requirements, EPR registration data, GPSR details, disposal instructions, AR product data, and country-specific information in a single workflow.

Rather than maintaining separate label versions for each market or triggering costly reprints whenever regulations change, businesses can update their digital compliance data in real time. Learn more

Smart Search is now available in L’Invoice

L`Invoice users can now search faster across E-Documents, Documents, and Customers. Smart Search checks multiple fields at once and helps find documents or clients even with incomplete or slightly inaccurate search queries.

Registration Tracker is now available in the system

Users can now track registration progress directly in Settings, including current status, status history, required actions, appeals, corrections, and final approval or rejection. Email notifications will also alert clients when action is needed, making the registration process clearer and more transparent.

France Requires Eco-Design Plans for Chemical Product Producers

Producers and importers of chemical products registered under the EcoDDS scheme must now prepare a Prevention and Eco-design Plan in French. The deadline is 30 July 2026. Companies registered under both the DDS and ABJ sectors must submit two separate plans — one for each sector.

New Greece Packaging Labelling Guide

Greece EMPA Packaging Labeling Requirements Guide photo 3

Lappa has published a dedicated guide to packaging labelling requirements for the Greek market. It explains which labels are legally required — including EU material codes, the recycling symbol, and the Green Dot — and clarifies that a separate EMPA/EOAN consumer label is not required under Greek rules, a common point of confusion for businesses entering the market.

Find out exactly which labels your packaging needs for Greece. Read the Greece packaging labelling guide

France introduces mandatory B2B packaging reporting

Starting from July 2026, France will require companies to report industrial and commercial B2B packaging under its EPR framework. This means that packaging used in business operations, logistics, distribution, and professional sales will no longer fall under previous exemptions.

Companies placing packaging on the French market should prepare in advance by reviewing their B2B packaging flows, collecting reporting data, and checking whether registration with an approved eco-organization is required. The reform comes shortly before broader EU packaging changes under the PPWR, making early compliance planning especially important. Read more about France EPR

EU may postpone Authorized Representative deadline

The European Commission has proposed postponing the Authorized Representative requirement for EU-based companies until 1 January 2035. This would affect businesses established in one EU Member State that sell products subject to EPR obligations in another Member State where they are not established.

However, the delay would not apply to non-EU sellers. Companies based outside the EU would still need to comply with the Authorized Representative requirement by 12 August 2026, so they should continue preparing for local EPR representation, registration, and reporting obligations. Learn more

California Introduces the First Textile EPR Law in the US

Under SB 707, California has established the first mandatory textile extended producer responsibility programme in the United States. From 1 July 2026, producers of apparel, footwear, and home textiles sold in California must be registered with an approved Producer Responsibility Organisation. Businesses should confirm whether they fall within the definition of a textile producer and prepare for upcoming fee and reporting requirements.

For a full breakdown of SB 707 and what textile producers need to do before 1 July 2026. Read more about California Textile EPR

France Packaging Labels and PPWR Guide

Our new guide covers what packaging labels are required in France right now — Triman, Info-tri, and material codes — and what will change from 12 August 2026 under PPWR. It also addresses future EU sorting pictograms, Declaration of Conformity requirements, PFAS limits on packaging materials, and the practical steps brands should take to update their packaging artwork before the deadline.

What Is the Difference Between PPWR and EPR

What is the difference between PPWR and EPR photo 1

PPWR and EPR are related but separate frameworks — and compliance with one does not automatically satisfy the other. EPR is a financial and administrative system covering collection and recycling funding; PPWR sets binding requirements for packaging design, composition, labelling, and conformity documentation. For businesses already registered with packaging PROs across the EU, PPWR introduces additional obligations that fall entirely outside existing EPR reporting.

Our new article explains what changes, who is affected, and what companies should prepare for before August. Read the PPWR vs EPR article
