This guide walks you through importing your Shopify store transactions directly into the Lappa platform.
Before you begin
Make sure your Shopify store integration is fully set up and that its status shows as “Active”. Once that is confirmed, you are ready to upload your transaction data.
Step 1: Go to the Transactions section
From your Lappa dashboard, navigate to the “Transactions” section. This is where all uploaded transaction data is stored and managed.
Step 2: Add your transactions
Click “Add Transactions” and select:
- your Shopify store as the data source;
- the reporting period for which you want to import transactions.
Click “Next” to begin the upload. Processing time will vary depending on the volume of transactions being imported.
Step 3: Review uploaded data
Once the upload is complete, your transactions will appear in the platform with the following details visible for each entry:
- date and time of the transaction;
- country where the transaction took place;
- transaction amount;
- VAT amount applied.
Step 4: File your VAT return
With an active Lappa subscription, you can now proceed to file your VAT return. The platform will automatically prepare it based on your uploaded transactions, the reporting country, and the selected period — no manual preparation needed.
