This guide walks you through placing a VAT registration order directly via the Lappa platform.
Step 1: Start your registration order
Click “Order VAT Registration” and select the country where you need to be registered for VAT.
Next, choose your reason for registration — three options are available. If you would like Lappa to act as your tax representative in that country, tick the corresponding box.
Once the country is selected, the service price will be displayed on screen.
Step 2: Responsible person details
Fill in the details of the person responsible for the VAT registration application — typically the company’s CEO or director. This includes:
- full personal information;
- contact details.
Make sure all information is accurate, as it may be used for direct communication with the tax authorities if any questions arise. At a later stage, you will also need to upload this person’s identity documents and a power of attorney authorising Lappa to receive your tax certificate on your behalf.
Step 3: Company information
Provide your business details:
- company registration number;
- full legal company name;
- date of incorporation;
- company contact email and phone number;
- legal address.
Step 4: Business activity and sales type
Write a brief description of your business activity — 2 to 3 sentences is sufficient. Add the link to your online store.
Then select your type of sales:
- B2B — sales to businesses only;
- B2C — sales to individual consumers only.
Step 5: Supplies and bank details
Enter the value of supplies for the relevant country and fill in your bank details as required.
Step 6: Upload documents
Upload the required documents for the primary responsible person (e.g. the director). A full list of required documents is shown on screen at this step.
Step 7: Review and submit
Before submitting, review all information entered throughout the process. Once everything is confirmed as correct, click “Submit information”.
You will receive an on-screen confirmation that your order has been placed, followed by an invoice sent to your registered email address.
