Easy steps to EPR reporting with L’EPR

Adding an EPR registration and filing a declaration are two separate steps. First you register the EPR number in Settings, then you use it to submit a declaration once it’s due.

Step 1. Add an EPR registration

  • Log into your EPR Lappa account and go to Settings → EPR Settings.
  • Click Add new EPR.
  • Fill in the required fields. The registration number, registration date, and periodicity are provided upon registration:

Registration number
Country
Type of registration
Status
Registration date
Eco-organisation

Step 2. Choose how the registration is reported

In the same form, decide whether Lappa should report this number for you.

Important:
If you toggle Use this number for reporting via Lappa, the relevant deadlines will appear on your dashboard. Click Add registration info to save — the number will then show up in the EPR Settings list, with deadlines on the dashboard if applicable.

Step 3. Open EPR Declarations

  • Double-check that the EPR number’s Active status is correct.
  • Go to EPR Declarations and click Fill EPR declaration.

Step 4. Set the declaration parameters

Select the Jurisdiction, EPR category, Period, and Year. Depending on the jurisdiction, you may then choose between two declaration methods:

  • Detailed declaration — volumes declared per product line, on a standard scale. Mandatory once you sell 500,000+ Consumer Sales Units (CSU) in France per year.
  • Simplified declaration — volumes declared per product family (clothing, household linen, footwear), with an increased price per item. Available for up to 499,999 CSUs sold in France per year.

Step 5. Fill in subcategories and submit

  • Complete each subcategory using the options provided.
  • Enter the quantity of units sold — this field is required.
  • Review the summary, then click Submit.

Note: Clicking Submit is a legal declaration that the information is true and complete. A false declaration can result in prosecution. You’ll need to confirm the checkbox before the submission goes through.

Step 6. Track the declaration status

  • Pending — the declaration has been submitted and is awaiting transmission.
  • Submitted — the data has reached the relevant EPR authority. You’ll receive a notification from Lappa with the invoice and eco-fee due to the respective PRO.
